Share your Treasure

How often have those of us who live paycheck to paycheck thought to ourselves that if only we were wealthy we could do some good things to help the less fortunate? But if we are Christians then we are wealthy! And God tells us that the more we give away, the more he gives back to us! So share those treasures!

  • The Good News! You can never share the story of Jesus and his salvation too many times. Tell everyone!
  • Your Testimony! Share how the Lord of heaven and earth reached down to save YOU, a helpless sinner. Share how He changed your life from one of slavery to your selfish desires that were never satisfied to a life of freedom and peace!
  • Your Prayers! Pray for the lost and the broken and the healing of everyone and for God’s will first and foremost.
  • Your Love! Share the Love in your heart that has been activated by the love of God for you! Kindness, forgiveness, patience, as well as sacrificing your own desires so that others might see that God is enough for you.
  • Your peace! Bring peace to every situation by your quiet and calm spirit and words that show understanding and willingness to listen.
  • Your money! Yes, the little bit that you have, God can take it and use it and repay you at the same time.
  • Wisdom! Share God’s wisdom with those who are seeking wisdom. God’s Word is powerful!

19 “Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moths and vermin destroy, and where thieves break in and steal. 20 But store up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moths and vermin do not destroy, and where thieves do not break in and steal. 21 For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. Matthew 6:19-21

Now when Jesus saw the crowds, he went up on a mountainside and sat down. His disciples came to him, and he began to teach them.

The Beatitudes

He said:

“Blessed are the poor in spirit,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
    for they will be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
for they will inherit the earth.
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness,
    for they will be filled.
Blessed are the merciful,
for they will be shown mercy.
Blessed are the pure in heart,
    for they will see God.
Blessed are the peacemakers,
for they will be called children of God.
10 Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness,
for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.

11 “Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. 12 Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you. Matthew 5:1-11
