Moving Forward with Confidence

Yesterday was scary to many people. The chaotic scenes shown by the mass media were carefully selected. If you watch the videos of people who were actually there, it looks a lot different. I don’t want to get into the whole thing, because everyone has their theories. I will say that I was not surprised at all by the day’s events, and I’m glad it didn’t get a lot worse. I hope it doesn’t continue.

But I found it encouraging to see so many people gathered together to fight election fraud and not buying into the new plans for a less free, less prosperous, more dependent, weaker America. My perspective is always as an observer. Yes, I’m feeling ‘over it’ and wish life was peaceful and normal, the old normal, not some weird, socially distanced, fearful normal. But, on the other hand, I am not afraid.

God is sovereign. That gives me peace, comfort, and confidence.

So I will continue to trust in His promises to be with me until the end, provide for me, reward me for my good works, give me wisdom, bless me, heal me, lead me through the valley of the shadow of death, and ultimately judge the evil that is happening and will happen.

My job is to be his follower, continue to have faith, take care of the works prepared for me before the foundation of the world, spread the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ, and love God and my neighbor. I am to live justly, seek justice, and help those who need help.

Christians, we have a hope and a future! We already know the end of the story. Let’s move forward in 2021 with confidence in our Lord!

  1. I’m from England, but saw it on the news. I’m like you, I know the end. So no matter what the ruling classes think or do (or promise), we know the outcome. We can’t be fooled.

    • Yes, we know how the story ends, and it’s SO reassuring. God is on the Throne, always has been, always will be. He can’t be voted out, impeached, or assassinated. No amount of conniving will unseat Him. And He loves us! – >Peace<

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
