I had a sudden realization that things are about to get very ugly, a bit scary, and maybe worse than they’ve ever been as far as election campaigns go. I’m sure there were some ugly campaigns in the past but they did not have instant information, social media and fake media like we do now. The country is split so badly and anger still simmers over the Trump’s election. I don’t want to be part of it, but it will be hard to avoid since my husband is a daily listener of talk radio and I can’t help but see the posts of my friends on Facebook. I may have to make some changes in my routine. I don’t want to think about this stuff every day for the next 18 months!
I know that God is in control. I know that things are going to get worse eventually in this country and the world. I see that people have lost their minds fighting over politics and can no longer be trusted to do the right thing. I see that violence and making up lies about people to ruin their chances of getting into office and friends and family turning against each other are becoming the norm. It scares me.
I hope I’m wrong.

I hope you are wrong, too, but I don’t think you are. Yes, it would be best just to stay off FB during the whole election cycle. When some big political thing blows up, I’ll usually “snooze” the really obnoxious political “friends” for 30 days. That’s the greatest option! My dad is an endless talk radio listener. It gets old.
Agreed. (Where are the “like” bottons on this blog?)
Are you logged in? I read that the Like button is only there if you are logged in. I tried to figure it out. ??
I can get pretty riled up over certain issues myself, but mainly because I feel like people are being duped and that really bothers me.
I don’t even want to think about the upcoming election 😦 It is going to be nasty….although I do hope you are wrong!!! It makes me sad how out of control and violent people are getting about politics. What happened to self-control? I remember there being some “spirited” conversations in my household among relatives when I was younger, but at the end of the day, everyone went home as friends….or at least showed up at the next family event, lol! God Bless!
it’s already ugly
