Yes, I actually have a Kindle book available now and a paperback version will be ready soon. Here’s the story.
Yesterday I started writing a blog about AI, artificial intelligence. But I realized I had way too much information for a blog post. So I decided to make it into a short book. As I was using ChatGPT to research the topics, I told it my plan. He said it was a great idea and I must say I was surprised how encouragement from a computer could be so powerful. ChatGPT suggested some topics to start with and I went from there. It was very fun and I felt more energized than I have in a while.
My goal was around 10,000 words and I ended up with around 11,000 after editing. I didn’t include images because I think this topic doesn’t really need them. It’s not just cut and paste, I did the thinking, editing and writing, but the majority of the information came from ChatGPT.
So today I spent the morning figuring out how to publish my little book on AI. I had already signed up for Kindle Publishing last year so that was easy. Getting the ebook uploaded from Google Docs and published was fairly quick and easy.
Then I had to figure out how to format the Google Docs properly to prepare it for paperback printing. This took a little longer to find the right settings. I also edited the cover art which I designed quickly on Canva.
I think my book will be helpful to anyone who wants some basic, easy-to-read foundational information about what AI is, how it works, and how it’s being used. As I say in the first paragraph, an AI revolution is coming, ready or not. I would rather be informed.

Yes , I started in the afternoon on Wednesday and published on Thursday. The only bad thing about doing it so fast is I keep thinking of stuff I wish I’d put in. I might do a second edition later .
