It wasn’t the weekend I had planned a few weeks ago, but it was the one God planned. Instead of going out of town for a getaway, we babysat our sons’ dog while they went out of town. She’s a sweet and well behaved Cur. Our two dogs accepted her visit pretty well, though my Ellie let her know that she is the boss.
Instead of going to the Texas Fandango bike rally like we did last April, we decided to stay home and save the money . The hotels were really expensive! Instead , I spent a few hours on Saturday morning with the ladies from church holding a bake sale. I loved it! I roamed around the farmers market visiting with people like I was at a party. I need more of that in my life.
I bought the microgreens at the same market . Very tasty . https://linktr.ee/htgardening
Then later that day hubby and I went to eat at LJ’s BBQ in Brenham. Fantastic! And you know how picky we are. They were sold out of brisket when we got there but the pork and turkey did not disappoint. The servings were very generous and the staff was more friendly than you sometimes encounter at bbq joints.
I got a book in the mail, plus I picked up another one from the free books at the prayer table at the market after visiting with a sweet friend I hadn’t seen in awhile. Pretty sure God wanted that meeting to happen.
Spring winds have been blowing and they took out our TV antenna. I’m thankful it didn’t fall on anyone or anything. I’m praying for those hurt by devastating tornadoes in the past week. More storms predicted for those same areas this week.
Sounds like you are enjoying life, have a wonderful day
To be honest I have been struggling , but I am trying. Thank you . Are you okay ?
Yes p, doing okay, but I must admit I am trying to find my footing
👊 One day at a time.
Your dog looks a lot like my shepherd-shina inu mix. She’s pretty cute.
Or maybe that one’s your son’s dog. I couldn’t tell.
This is my son’s dog. Mine is the brindle shepherd .
