We ventured out to market day in Bellville on a 90 degree day. There were tables full of jellies, handmade soap, grass fed beef, crafts, and farm fresh vegetables under the covered pavilion and booths lined up around the square.
We saw an old friend and got caught up on each other’s family news . Then we went inside The Gathery for the first time. They had a line of people waiting to buy coffee, but I didn’t see any food so we didn’t stay .

We bought some street tacos from a food trailer instead . We chatted with the friendly lady who owned the trailer. She said she’d recently moved to Texas to get cancer treatment in Houston .
Then we saw some church friends and spent a few minutes talking with them and checking out the photographs that he sells. We ate our tacos in the air conditioned van and munched on kettle corn all the way home.
It was my kind of Mother’s Day fun. Hope yours is special !
That sounds just delightful! 🙂
