Jamie Foxx : What Had Happened Was

Jamie Foxx tells his story in a very personal and sometimes tearful Netflix special that eventually turns into comedy and singing . The most amazing part is seeing a celebrity comedian and actor giving God the glory over and over , even singing praises literally in a song “God is good!” .
I know some people won’t be able to see past the crude language. But I see a man who was changed by this near death experience and is not holding back. I pray that God will continue to use Foxx .
So try to ignore the typical comedian language and watch it for the good parts. It’s not your typical Foxx show. Here is the link. (No need to lecture me on the evils of Netflix. You’re free to ignore this post. 😉)

Now you got me interested. I almost clicked on it, because he is a very talented person, but then I saw it looked rather ungodly and decided not to. However, I am unaware of what happened to him. I can deal with the crude stuff if there is a good reason to. It’s just not something I normally choose. Thanks for the heads up. I’ve got to check this out. God is definitely doing something. I’m seeing signs all around. I’ve been trying to write about it. God’s on the move in our time, but it’s not what we have been use to. And frankly, I’m glad. I find it refreshing.

Okay, it’s about 9 pm. in Indiana and I just watched the Jamie Foxx special. Then I prayed, Lord help me. How do we understand what God is doing today? He takes a Donald Trump and challenges a nation. He takes a Jamie Foxx and does what? Foxx even imitated Trump in the show! I couldn’t believe it. So… here’s my honest “opinion” for what it is worth. Which may not be much. But I think Foxx is searching. He’s not sure what to do with this encounter he had with God. There was still a lot of “I’m Jamie Foxx” in him. But also a humility that would suddenly come out of nowhere. The language and some stories were pretty crude. Not Christlike, for sure. But the Apostle Paul also had an encounter with God and he went to Arabia for three years to be taught, before going to Jerusalem. Some say Paul had teachings from Christ himself. I believe God is doing something hard to explain. I’m trying to do a remodel on this old farmhouse I’m living in. A remodel always starts by making a real big mess. It’s hard to live in a house you’re remodeling because it’s such a mess, but you know it’s going somewhere. If we keep praying I believe we will see the salvation of our Lord. I know we can’t do it. Only God. Praise the Lord, Jamie Foxx. With all that talent of yours, praise the Lord and do right. I think we are all going to be challenged by the things coming in 2025. We ain’t seen nothing yet. My opinion.

After sleeping on it I woke up this morning with thoughts I simply had to write. It’s called “What is God doing?” If you get a chance to read it and tell me what you think? There is a Samson anointing. Would love to hear your thoughts.
