Vote for Freedom

Early voting has started. Get out and vote!

This election season is almost over. Whew! Unfortunately not everyone has all the facts. But educated voters know the truth, which is that Harris is continuing the progressive, socialist statist policies that started under Obama and continued with Biden, and Trump, while not completely abandoning statism, will at least throw a monkey wrench in some of those plans, especially the global quasi-government organizations such as the WHO, UN, and NATO.

It is critical that voters do not only think about the next four years. The policies made in this next term will have long-lasting consequences for our country. Vote for the future!

Some of Trumps “Make America Great Again” policies will face resistance in Congress, and his plan for tariffs is questionable, but his ideology is correct: American is a collection of states guided by the Constitution and we must prevent the further takeover of the federal government of state and local power. During his previous term, Trump did not dismantle the federal government or destroy democracy. But he did improve the lives of millions of Americans.

The Democrats are the opposite. They truly believe that they are ‘helping the American people’ by taxing and spending rather than getting out of the way and letting local and state governments take care of their residents. Their ideology is that we need their help because they are smarter than us. Their methods are to create programs, policies and regulations that reduce competition, stifle innovation, and concentrate power into the hands of the lucky few who get grants and subsidies paid for by tax dollars.

Harris uses gas-lighting, fear, anger, and misinformation to portray those who want to preserve independence, local laws, personal freedom and self-determination, and Constitutional rights as backward-looking, selfish, and ignorant. She constantly directs her followers minds to emotionally triggering topics, such as incorrect statements about abortion and lies about Trump being a dictator. In contrast, Trump uses humor, logic, and evidence to appeal to both men and women .

Harris’ interviews and debates revealed to the public that she is dishonest, incompetent and unstable. She talks to people in a strange patronizing voice, making weird statements. I thought poor Oprah was going to snatch Harris’ microphone away. It has become obvious that she is not speaking her own thoughts. She can’t say what she really thinks because she is a Marxist. And her running mate Tim Walz is almost as bad with his odd behaviors. I can only imagine the horror of those two meeting with global diplomats and leaders!

A little humor

Although Trump and Harris have some overlap in their campaign promises, such as promising to cut taxes on tips, we must concentrate on their bigger agenda. Trump wants to restrain the growth of government power and Harris wants to fund it.

So your vote is a vote either FOR or AGAINST making America MORE of a socialist country, in which Big Brother takes money from citizens to redistribute in programs it controls, and in which the goals and purposes of the federal government continue to expand into every private nook and cranny of our lives. It doesn’t matter what you think of Trump’s past personal failures, or JD Vance’s personality. You aren’t marrying them.

The people who are voting for Harris either do not understand what she stands for, or they agree with her and they embrace the ideas of statism.

  1. I agree that Kamala wants to move us toward more socialism. And I’m for just about any government program anyone could ever want. But only if the budget is balanced. To me, that’s the true test of whether or not we have too much socialism. Is the budget balanced? Well, it isn’t. I’m hoping that if Trump is elected, he’ll do what Bill Clinton did for four straight years. Balance the damned budget.

    • Do you think that’s possible ? The budget is way bigger now than it was after Reagan. Here’s what ChatGPT says. Sorry it’s so long. It’s unlikely that today’s Democrats would take exactly the same approach as Bill Clinton did in the 1990s, due to the significant shifts in the party’s priorities, economic context, and political environment. Several key differences highlight why replicating Clinton’s strategy would be challenging or viewed differently by modern Democrats:

      1. Shift in Economic Priorities:

      • Focus on Inequality and Redistribution: Many Democrats today focus heavily on income inequality, racial and economic justice, and the need for stronger social safety nets. Clinton’s welfare reform and spending cuts, which were a hallmark of his deficit reduction strategy, might not align with the modern Democratic Party’s goals of expanding access to healthcare, education, and other welfare programs.
      • Progressive Taxation: While Clinton did raise taxes on the wealthy, today’s Democratic proposals tend to be more aggressive, such as those calling for a wealth tax or significantly higher taxes on corporations and top earners to fund expansive social programs like universal healthcare or free college.

      2. Economic Environment and Challenges:

      • Economic Context Today: The economic environment today is vastly different from the booming 1990s. The economy is dealing with rising deficits partly driven by massive COVID-19 relief spending, inflation concerns, and growing national debt. The tech boom and productivity surge of the 1990s are not replicable in the same way, and today’s challenges (such as automation, job displacement, and climate change) would require different policy responses.
      • Higher Spending Expectations: There’s a greater emphasis on government spending to address systemic issues like healthcare costs, climate change, student debt, and infrastructure. Modern Democrats are more likely to support increasing deficits in the short term to tackle these issues, rather than emphasizing balanced budgets as Clinton did.

      3. Attitude Toward Deficits:

      • Keynesian Economics and Modern Monetary Theory (MMT): Many modern Democrats are less concerned about deficits and debt, especially in the short term. There is growing acceptance of Keynesian principles, where deficit spending is seen as necessary for stimulating the economy and addressing long-term issues like climate change and inequality. Modern Monetary Theory, which suggests that governments that control their own currency can afford to spend more without worrying about debt in the traditional sense, has gained some traction among progressive Democrats.

      4. Political Landscape:

      • Partisan Polarization: The level of bipartisan cooperation Clinton relied on during his presidency, particularly with Republicans like Newt Gingrich, would be much harder to achieve today. The political environment is far more polarized, and compromise between Democrats and Republicans on issues like tax increases, spending cuts, or entitlement reform seems more difficult.
      • Base of the Party: Clinton’s centrist policies were more acceptable to the Democratic base in the 1990s. However, today’s base is more progressive and would likely push back against measures like cutting social spending or scaling back on programs like Medicare or Social Security to reduce the deficit.

      5. Modern Democratic Proposals:

      • Green New Deal and Other Initiatives: Today’s Democrats are advocating for major new spending initiatives, such as the Green New Deal to combat climate change, universal healthcare, and expanding social welfare programs. These programs would require significant government investment and would not align with a strict balanced-budget approach.
      • Taxing the Wealthy: Rather than focusing on spending cuts to balance the budget, many modern Democrats would prefer to raise revenue through progressive taxation. Proposals like raising corporate taxes, a wealth tax, and higher capital gains taxes are popular within the party, with the idea that wealthier Americans and corporations should pay a larger share to fund government programs.

      Conclusion:

It is unlikely that today’s Democrats, particularly the progressive wing of the party, would adopt the same deficit-reduction strategies Clinton used, especially those involving welfare cuts and spending restraint. The modern Democratic Party tends to prioritize expanding social programs and addressing inequality, even if it means running larger deficits in the short term. However, moderate Democrats might still be open to some of Clinton’s approaches, such as raising taxes on the wealthy, if balanced budgets were seen as a necessary goal.

Ultimately, the political and economic landscape has changed dramatically, and the willingness to replicate Clinton’s exact policies would likely face resistance within the party today.

      • Sure, I think it’s possible to balance the budget. If humans created the problem, then humans can fix the problem.

As for ChatGPT, I don’t have time to read all that stuff, and I don’t trust ChatGPT anyway. Sorry about all the effort you may have put into compiling all that stuff, but I’m not going to read something that lengthy, from a source I distrust.

      • I guess it’s possible. Like losing weight is possible after menopause, but very difficult. All that’s missing is the political will to make a lot of people angry .

      • Perhaps that’s it. Political will. And some salesmanship. All I know is that Bill Clinton did it four years straight (although with a gun to his head, pointed by Newt Gingrich). But he did it. So that tells me it can be done.

  2. I cannot wait for the election to be over. Our TV is filled with ads that lie, lie, lie. I hope people aren’t that uneducated, but I’m afraid they are. For example, in Arizona there are ads with OB/GYNs talking about “Trump’s Abortion Ban” and how they are not allowed to treat a woman bleeding to death. You know what? Abortion is LEGAL in AZ up to 15 weeks. The bill on the ballot is up to nine months for any reason. Of course, the OB/GYNs are allowed to treat a bleeding woman.
