Hey bloggers , just checking in to say hi.
You may have heard of the recent round of powerful winds , heavy rains, hail and tornadoes that has caused millions in damage and a number of deaths across Texas. I’m glad to say that we are fine here. But it has been sad to see the devastation and loss of homes and businesses caused by these storms. Also many people have been without power more than once. Historically, May has been a very stormy month. And we are about to enter hurricane season in Texas. I’m nervous about what could be coming next after such a rough Spring.
Daily life with Grace is still a challenge. Not so much Grace herself , she is stable , but the absolute mess of a medical system that makes getting what she needs so difficult. I still haven’t found the doctors she needs to manage her trach and ventilator and I still don’t have the nursing staff we need. This is not for lack of trying by me and her service coordinator. I’m working on a post about that but it’s just a depressing story.

On a brighter side, I’m super excited that our 20 year old son is getting baptized this weekend! He has felt God’s calling for the past few months and wants to profess his faith in Jesus publicly . We’ve had some great conversations about the Bible lately . He has been in church all his life , but something has noticeably changed in his heart. He has been diving into sermons and the scriptures with his questions. I’m so thankful for God’s grace in his life. I’m also grateful for the many godly people who have influenced him over the years through their lives, Bible study and at church.
I’ve been staying busy pickling and canning our cucumbers and making salsa.

Well that’s all for now. I’m really tired today after another night of not enough sleep. Hope you are all safe and healthy.
Blessings,
Paula
Get some sleep! As lovely as you look next to your handsome hubby, sleep is THE essential for health.

Thank you and I would love to sleep if Grace would let me.
I am glad you are okay! I was thinking of you and the storms.
Happy anniversary! Great news about your son! Glad Grace is stable, but that must be hard not having those loose ends tied up medically.
Thanks!
Nice to see you!! Sending you good thoughts!
