New Year, New Thoughts!

2024 sounds like a nice, even-keeled number. Here’s hoping!

I wish all my blogging friends a joyful, peaceful year filled with love and good health. Is that likely to happen 24/7, all 365 days? Probably not, but no matter what, God is with us through it all! Focus on the peace that passes understanding and the joy of knowing you are forgiven and rest in the love of your Heavenly Father.

I mean, we all know that December was stressful and expensive and January is usually worse! But we don’t have to let it get to us. We choose to change our thoughts and control our emotional reactions to stress. It’s all about knowing that “this , too, shall pass.”. Good and bad will always happen. It’s just part of life.

We don’t have to let our emotions be controlled by outside circumstances. We can choose how we react: with faith and acceptance or with fear or drama. We can learn to be calm and trust that God is in control.

We can assess the situation and see if there’s anything we can do about it or not. Not everything is within our power or even our responsibility to fix. Old habits can intentionally be replaced with new ones. Choose to change your thoughts. “Take every thought captive.” Trust God. Happy New Year!

  1. Amen. Having our minds yielded to and controlled by God is the best way to face the future with confidence.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
