Israel’s Holy War Won’t Be the Last Test for Christians

The war in Israel is a Holy War. No matter what anyone says, we cannot leave religion out of this conversation. The U.S. and the West, traditionally Bible-believing, God-fearing nations, have always supported Israel as a nation because of our belief that God chose Israel out of the pagan nations and promised them a specific area of land. We believe that this battle has raged for thousands of years and will not end until Jesus says it does.

American citizens have mostly successfully kept themselves mentally separate from holy wars by accepting that we are a secular nation. We pride ourselves in our religious freedom. But going forward we must be prepared to do the hard thing, the right thing, the unpopular thing, because we are seeing the beginning of the end of separation of church and state. Islam has been trying to dominate and destroy religious freedom since it’s beginning.

The war in Israel will not be the last holy war that America has to fight. The Ukraine war also has a religious background that is rarely mentioned in the media, with different churches fighting for control. The only question that remains is whether the west, including America, will defend Christianity and Israel as the holy wars increase.

Will Americans be able to choose rightly when they’re so uneducated about the Christian Bible? Will they choose wokism , Marxism, etc because they have no understanding of how God used Christianity to bring peace and feminism and protection for children and economic freedom and education and charity and innovation to the world ? The secularists have deleted God from culture while attempting to protect religious choice. Now there’s a vacuum and Muslims want to fill it.

No God , no right or wrong. Why does war matter? May the strongest prevail! Who has the best army and most support from other countries? That’s the logical argument for evolutionists.

Though most western nations claim to be secular in their laws and unbiased, the truth is that in certain situations we Christians will be forced to choose whether we will obey God or men. I see many good people struggling to know what is the right thing in this war. The reality is that we don’t really know exactly what is happening in that arena. The media and governments don’t tell us everything. But as far as choosing sides, it’s really simple, we must choose God’s side, which is Israel.

When the original founders attempted to build a secular nation with freedom of religion, they were doing it to prevent the same abuses of power that the Pilgrims had escaped. They wanted to allow people the right to worship God or not worship God however they chose without laws restricting beliefs or forcing conformity to one religion or the other.

Whether they practice what they preach in their private lives or not, Americans have strong ‘moral’ beliefs that correlate with how they vote. The headlines reflect the current battle. Should we support Israel no matter what they do? Should we align ourselves with the ‘helpless victims’ of Israeli attacks? Which side you choose is mostly based on your religious beliefs, specifically whether or not you believe that the Bible is true.

If you believe the Christian interpretation of the scriptures that says God chose Israel as a nation and granted them possession of that particular piece of land, then you will probably defend Israel’s right to fight back against aggressive terrorists who want to remove them from the land. You will defend them even if you are horrified at the thought of innocent children dying in war, because, you will say, Hamas started it and has been attacking Israel for years and Israel has the right to respond.

If you believe that Israel is occupying the land that belongs to whoever was there first, and you don’t care what the Bible says, then you probably think that Israel is ‘occupying the land’. Even if you are a Christian and believe that the Jews are in rebellion against God by rejecting Jesus, you believe that God is sovereign over all of these current events and so you pray for peace while supporting Israel.

The point is not to decide who is right in this situation. I am using this example to show that religious beliefs are inseparable from the conversation . What you believe about God, whether you think He does or doesn’t exist or get involved in current affairs, will impact your opinions on what should be done in the world. If you believe that the Bible is true, you will defend Israel’s right to exist.

Yet America and Israel and the EU attempt to live as if they can ignore God and keep him out of public. There is a real culture war going on right now in Europe between Muslim immigrants and formerly Christian nations. These countries eliminate God from the schools and public life and guess what? Muslims are filling that space now.

You cannot truly have a secular society. One or another god will always rise up. I choose to trust the Creator God that sent his Son to set the captives free, give us abundant life, and taught that women and children had value! He taught forgiveness, love, peace, and generosity. He said that if we will seek Him, we will find Him and we can become his children.

The Muslim religion claims to worship the same God as Jews and Christians. Would one God give two different scriptures? Islam is a false religion that takes bits of Judaism to make it seem legitimate. Like Mormonism.

There’s only one “Abrahamic” faith. God chose Abraham to be the father of a nation , Israel, that would tell the world about God and lead them out of paganism. The battle for this truth is still raging. If you hate Jews and Israel, you’re on the wrong side.

Read your Bible. Learn about the history of the Middle East and how Christian missionaries and the west brought good changes to the poor and oppressed and enslaved . We are all in a holy war. Choose your side carefully.

  1. Yes, it is ironic, that Christians support a Nation that sees Christian Americans as useful idiots.

    • Christians should support the principles that America was founded on, freedom, human rights, equality before God. But our government is becoming more and more anti-God every day.
