The movie mentioned in the YouTube video above is now available on Netflix. Great movie. Here is an interesting timeline of the events before and after. https://www.cnn.com/2013/09/10/world/benghazi-consulate-attack-fast-facts/index.html
In 2012 when this event happened, I wasn’t really watching the news or keeping up with current events like I do now because I was busy homeschooling and running every day. 2012 was a good year for me. I was racing nearly every other weekend. So I didn’t know exactly what happened in Benghazi even though I do recall hearing Hillary and Obama were involved somehow. The movie focuses on the attack by Ansar Al- Sharia and the courageous soldiers rather than who was to blame for the lack of assistance.
Another good one on Netflix right now is Lone Survivor which tells the story of Navy Seals battling the Taliban in Afghanistan. It is extremely violent and bloody, however.
Both of these movies are based on true events between American soldiers and radical Islamic armies. They are a timely reminder that, in war, there really are good guys and bad guys. Some people cannot be reasoned with or rehabilitated by diplomacy. They are driven by hate and desire for power and control. In both stories there are local heroes who helped the Americans despite their differences. Highly recommend watching both and then doing a little reading about the actual people involved.

We heard Marcus Luttrell speak a few times and it definitely gives one a lot to reflect on. What these men went through was unbelievable.
