God-given Gifts~ My Creative Husband

My husband is very creative. He discovered that he could play the guitar as a young boy. After observing his older sister strumming and singing with friends, he picked it up and the rest is history. His sister also influenced him to pursue art classes. Even his mechanic skills are more of an art than a science. And he’s sometimes a temperamental artist , but we forgive him for that.

God graciously gifted my children. Three of our five sons play guitar. I love it when they all play together. Two of them inherited my husband’s mechanical talents. All of them have brilliant minds, and I’m not just bragging. 😉

I don’t consider myself very creative as far as crafts or inventions, but I appreciate people who use their gifts to make the world more colorful and interesting. I do love working with words and images so I use writing and photography and video editing to express myself. I’ve been told I’m a good cook so I will claim that gift as well .

God made each one of us unique and gave us each gifts that we can use for his glory and the benefit of others and our own enjoyment. It’s a beautiful thing when two people get married and they appreciate each other’s gifts and talents and support their interests.

What gifts has God given you and your family?

  1. Years ago I believed I could do anything. I’m not sure anymore I have any God given talents..
I’m blessed to have two great kids and a wonderful grandson that are talented and loving and wonderful human beings I’m so very proud of ♥️

  2. You have the spiritual gifts of mercy and service, for sure. (see that nurturing your daughter). And I’m guessing you also have a bent toward teaching (you’re a reader, and occasionally deep dive into topics I know about on a superficial level) It is fun to see different gifts show up in the next generation isn’t it.

  3. Lovely work! I agree that you have ability with words and images; I would also say strength in enduring.

I’m not sure if our boys have similar talents/ inherited some from the gene pool. I have been curious, lately, thinking about what spiritual gifts they have.
