Christians Who Don’t Believe the Bible?

Many Americans attended a place of worship this morning. But not everyone who was listening to the sermon actually holds Christian beliefs. Surveys (and here) show that many people who consider themselves Christians of one denomination or another do not believe that the Bible is the final authority in how we should live, or that Jesus is the only way to be saved, and sometimes even do not believe that there is going to be an afterlife or a judgment of sinners. 1. It baffles me, Paula. How people can say they love Jesus and then in the same breath call Him a liar. Or they say they believe in the Bible but haven’t a clue what its main teachings are. God help us shine the Light without being self-righteous or judgmental. :/

    • It’s getting harder to have a rational conversation about anything. I was reading about how much of Europe is very secular. But God is still drawing people to himself.

  2. What forces twist a tree so much that it grows in strange shapes? How do a “people of the Book” not believe the Book they claim to own? How did Sadducees NOT believe in a resurrection and yet serve as High Priests?
    High Priests of WHAT?
“In their case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelievers, to keep them from seeing the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.” 2 Corinthians 4:4
So we must pray as Jesus did on the cross: “Father, forgive them; for they do not know what they are doing.” (Amp)
