It is amazing to witness God opening hearts and minds as men (and women, but especially men) who were previously blinded to truth because they had accepted scientism and rationalism are beginning to move towards God like a car driving through fog.

John Bunyan’s Pilgrim’s Progress or C.S. Lewis’ Screwtape Letters would be very helpful tales for these people who don’t realize what danger they are now in, having recently received their sight. They are now in Satan’s crosshairs. If they are true converts, they will get where they are going, and if not, they will end up worse than they were before.

The same kind of crisis is happening to those who have long called themselves Christians or Catholics, and even Mormons and Jews. They are being forced to think about what they truly believe and whether they will continue to be part of their religious group. Do they really know the doctrines of their faith? So many have taken ‘faith’ for granted.

But since having faith and believing in truth is under attack, many will fall away. Yet, many will also be saved during this time. God is shaking and sifting. Some will be awakened, some will fall through the holes. Only God knows how it will end. Will you stand until the end?
