Tippy Canoe

Don’t stand up! You’ll tip the canoe!

Stay in the boat, we’ll all stay afloat.

We don’t have paddles, me or you.

Pulled by the swift river in our little boat.

I see the shoreline so very close.

You  see the water rushing by.

We can swim, c’mon let’s go!

Gators! Snakes! Stay safe, you cry!

Don’t stand up! You’ll tip the canoe!

Stay in the boat, we’ll all stay afloat.

But what’s that noise I hear ahead?

Don’t look, it’s the sound of our fate.

Jump! Or we’ll soon be dead!

No, we might make it, let’s wait.

Okay, I have a life jacket.

But wait, you don’t.

16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. 17 For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him. 18 Whoever believes in him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son. 19 This is the verdict: Light has come into the world, but people loved darkness instead of light because their deeds were evil. John 3:16-19

Friend, do you have a life jacket for the coming waterfalls in the rushing river of life, the salvation of Jesus Christ? We live in uncertain times, now and always. Death can come to you or me at any time without warning. Please, before it’s too late, seek the Lord. Ask him to help you understand what he did for you and why. Too many people only know about religion or they’ve had bad experiences with churches. This is not the same as knowing Jesus. Jesus died and rose to save you from judgment !

Believe on Him, Repent, and Follow Him!

6 Seek the Lord while he may be found;
call on him while he is near.
7 Let the wicked forsake their ways
and the unrighteous their thoughts.
Let them turn to the Lord, and he will have mercy on them,
and to our God, for he will freely pardon.
8 “For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord. Isaiah 55:6-8

  1. AMEN my friend! Very well put and love the poem. I feel like that sometimes, okay a lot of the time since all this virus lock down came about. And I try not to let it get to me, it’s hard. But if it were easy, we’d never learn from it or get closer to the Lord.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
