Running is so much fun, they said!

Let’s beat the sun,  get out of bed!

10 miles later, I sit here thinking

this running ship might be a-sinking.

My eyes are burning, my legs are shaking,

The sun has done it’s job of baking.

My chafed skin will soon have scars

but at least I did not get hit by cars.

What a strange and painful fun.

I’m not so sure I like to run!
