After writing my last post, which I did in a very tired state, right before bed, I lay in bed mentally critiquing the post and wondering what I had left out or misstated. It was then that I realized how by simply listening (audiobook) and reading the book, That Hideous Strength, my own thoughts had improved and become more logical.
Wow. The power of words cannot be understated! Bad words have the same effect, and by bad words I mean all the various kinds. For example, last night we watched part of Landman, a streaming drama series set on the oil fields in west Texas. I can’t watch it. It just feels offensive and crude to me, the way the people talk, especially the women. It is truly trash TV. But I thought of how this show will leave a lasting impression on millions of viewers. One, I fear that people will think that Texas women are really like that, we aren’t. But even worse, it will dumb down the viewers’ own language.
When I woke up this morning I listened to The Abolition of Man on YouTube, in which C S Lewis explains the real concept behind That Hideous Strength and I was both happy to see that I had somewhat grasped what he was saying, but also amazed at how much deeper it goes. “Education planners”, social planners and scientists are literally using very specific language to alter the thought patterns of children before they are old enough to understand, and of adults when they are too busy to notice. That last sentence does not quite convey the extremely dangerous and damaging power that has been given without a fight to these people. It’s like saying calmly “Oh, by the way, your house is on fire.”
What I am trying to say is WAKE UP! YOU AND YOUR CHILDREN ARE BEING BRAINWASHED DAILY by all forms of media ! You might say, don’t we already know that? To which I would say, I don’t think people really do know or we would be trying harder to stop the destruction of humanity through the weapon of language. And parents would stop giving their children tablets and phones!!!
Today’s young adults really do think differently than older generations — not just because of age, but because they’ve been formed by a worldview that rejects objective truth and traditional morality. Their starting point for understanding reality is radically different. Many of them were raised in systems that intentionally separated them from the once taken for granted idea that there is a God and a right and wrong way of doing things.
What we’re seeing now are the results of years of secular social conditioning that trains people to deny the natural moral order. Moral relativism and a distrust of religious teachers has left a huge gap that’s being filled by paranoia, anger, eating disorders, sexual dysfunction, and hopelessness. It produces confusion, emotional instability, and a mindset that feels foreign to those of us who grew up with Christian values. The confusion comes because this social conditioning runs counter to our nature and they are forced to deny their own natures.
Language is the weapon of the devil and it is used by those who do not fear God, on both political sides, but especially by the liberal progressive woke academics who control public education. YOUR CHILDREN are in their hands!
It is no coincidence that Jesus is called The Word. He is the true word, the truth and the life. The devil is the father of lies, deceit, and death.
