WordPress Featured Posts : How To Set

Funny blogger story.

My Featured post was set when I first started my blog many years ago and I didn’t know how to change it! It’s not obvious when using the Jetpack app reader, but people coming directly to my website via a browser will see the homepage. I had tried to find the setting before but it wasn’t obvious. So today I wanted to change it and I did some sleuthing and I found out .

Featured posts show up like this on an iPhone.

Here’s what you do .

1.Go to the post you want to set or remove from your Featured post position on your Homepage.

2. Go to post settings.

3. Scroll until you see a menu item called Sticky. Toggle that on or off . Click update if necessary. Done!

Note: Not all themes support Featured Posts. I’m using Apostrophe 2.

Choose your post if not already in the post screen.

There’s another slightly more complicated option . Go to your page in a browser and click the little House icon and then Posts. Find the post you want to change. In Post settings(the little icon that looks like a box with a line in it.) click Status. Scroll to the bottom and you’ll see Sticky. Toggle on or off . You can do this on a phone, too .
