  1. Today I’m asking you for a big favor.
I’m seriuously considerung starting a podcast.
I’ve produced 2 episodes episode 0 (introduction) and another episode.
As a podcaster you could do me a huge favor and tell me your opinion of these 2 episodes, only if you have the time and the inclination, of course.

I’m especially interested in /the following:
    – Is my English unterstandable despite some errors?
    – Is the English tolerable?
    – Is the sound quality tolerable?
    – Are there too many/too long pauses?
    – Is the subject/story interesting?

Please, feel free to tell me your opinion on ANYTHING else you want to comment on.
    Brutal frankness is highly appreciated.

Here are the links to the 2 episodes.
They will stay active for 1 week.

    • I can understand your English fine, but the sound quality will be better if you aren’t walking. You can get a Bluetooth microphone if you’re recording on your phone and be careful where you place ( so you don’t hear your shirt rustling) . They are cheap on Amazon. What platform are you planning to use for your podcast ? Anchor/Spotify is good and I think it’s still free.

      • Thanks for your valuable feedback.
Yes, I recorded these episodes on a cheap Android phone while hiking.
I have some good Sony bluetooth headphones with integrated microphone but somehow Android doesn’t allow me to use them as input source.
That’s a minor problem which is solvable.

I was thinking of posting the episodes on substack.
The idea for podcasting came from an announcement by substack that they offer you to host your podcasts.
What is cool is that you can easily integrate your podcast episodes in your wordpress posts. I’ve tried it with some episodes from some podcasts on substack.
I’ve a substack acount but it’s not very active.
I could use that acount for my podcast.

I’m sure Anchor/Spotify are great platforms.
However, substack has a great record of respecting and defending freedom of speech which in these times of increasing censorship is an important aspect.
As you may know, almost all of the critical scientists who have a different view on the covid policies and vaccines, like R.W. Malone, post on substack.
Unlike youtube, twitter etc. they never censored or deplatformed these critical voices.
That’s why I’m thinking of giving substack a try first.

Again, thanks for your feedback. It IS helpful.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
