Seasons In The Sun

Can you believe it’s already Thanksgiving week AGAIN? Didn’t we just do that a few months ago? This year has flown by thanks to an unending series of life changes and challenges. But evidently this is what happens after you hit 50. The pace of life picks up. Friends start dying. You get health problems. Your kids grow up. Your parents decline and die. I must say this is not my favorite season of life! But with God’s grace I will get through it with peace, joy, and faith in His goodness. I hope you all have a wonderful holiday. But if you are alone or lonely or sick or sad, I pray that you will turn to your loving heavenly Father for comfort. He is always with you and he truly cares about you.

Happy Thanksgiving ❤

P.S. I’ve been writing less lately because I am training for my new job! More to come…

  1. Beautiful post.
Time flies for me too. We can be thankful for the “seasons in the sun”.
The thing that makes aging easier is humor. You’ve got to laugh about the things you can’t change.
I used to play chess with an old man. That old fox beat me all the time but still I enjoyed our chess games because he was funny as hell.
I’ll always remember his favorite saying: “Everyone has to die. Maybe me too, but only maybe.”
I wish you a happy holiday and all the best for your new job.

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
