I went out to collect eggs and there was a big snake in the laying box . I didn’t have my phone so I went back to get it. When I returned to the barn the snake had moved and was on his way out but I grabbed him by the tail . I can’t believe I did that! Unfortunately he got away when I dropped him. He must have been full because he ate all of the eggs!
Yikes!
Wow! What a great story! You’re my hero, Paula! 😊
Holy Moly … didn’t know there was a video too! Now, you’re really my hero! 😊❤️
👊
Ugh
ACK!! I do NOT like snakes….and all we have are garter snakes, lol. My kids love them, but I walk the other way! No way would I be touching them, Go Paula! God Bless!
Lol ,my husband laughed so hard when he saw the video . He was already in bed so I had to handle it. How’s your summer going?
It’s been an event, lol. The weather has been weird and not right. First it’s super hot, no rain (we usually have LOTS of rain in the spring/early summer), now it’s cool and raining just about every day with flash flooding (we don’t have to worry about flooding at our house thankfully). We also just had another baby (#9), lol so it’s been a busy summer to say the least! All are doing well, but my garden is in sad shape. Our oldest has been doing her best to work on her garden and it is looking fantastic. Maybe next year? What kind of snake was that? I just….I don’t do snakes, lol. At least I don’t scream when I see them anymore?!?
Aww a new baby! how wonderful! I hope you’re recovering well. Sorry to hear about the garden. Ours is burned up and we had so many insects and tomato worms 🐛 this round . It was a rat snake . They aren’t poisonous. I came from the city 20 years ago. I was scared of wasps, snakes, mice, and everything else. Now I’m a country girl. 🤣
I’m feeling pretty good, thank you 🙂 At least it wasn’t poisonous! I have always been a country girl, but I don’t do snakes, lol. Spiders, bugs, etc don’t bother me, but snakes…..just no 🙂 I got spooked by one when I was very young and I haven’t handled them well since. Our garden is also having a slug and snail issue, so we are learning ways to deal with that. It’s a new issue so that’s fun, lol. Usually it’s too much rain or just a really short growing season that we have to contend with 🙂 Something new every year!! Hope all is well with you and yours.
