“What do you have against God?” That’s what I would love to ask Richard Dawkins and Bill Nye and many, many other atheistic scientists. Some of these have come out and said that nothing, no amount of scientific evidence, would convince them that they were wrong.

This is a very unscientific attitude. It’s also sad. They’re like stubborn little children who refuse to concede when the proof is right in front of them. I can just imagine Dawkins stomping his feet and shouting “No! I won’t do it!”.

In fact this is exactly what many scientists are doing. The evidence is piling up and yet they continue to create ridiculous objections and implausible theories to explain away a creator. Some scientists have even converted to Christianity after realizing the truth about design in creation .

Thanks to advances in technology, scientists have discovered that the theory of undirected evolution by natural selection does not hold up as a explanation for either the origin of life or the existence of living creatures. For example, the cellular structure of even the most basic organisms, such as bacteria, is extremely complex.

Here are a few more reasons that science has not proven evolution. The structure of DNA is much too complex to have evolved by chance. Although some Christians believe that the Big Bang theory actually lines up well with a creator, there are many problems with the Big Bang theory . Most damaging to the idea of a random universe, science shows that our universe has been very finely tuned for the survival of life, and it is very likely that ours is the only planet with life in it. Another is the realization that biology is based on systems. There is much more evidence than this for a creator, but stubborn unbelief is preventing scientists from admitting that they might be wrong.

I highly recommend the book God of the Details by Christian Bandea for a detailed summary of the various arguments for and against a creator and explanation of the scientific evidence for a creator. The author is anti-religion, but believes in God.

But why do they resist the truth? Mostly pride I would guess. But also fear. They know that they have arrogantly ridiculed people who believe in God and God himself. I’m pretty sure that most Christians will not hold it against them. I, for one, am more than willing to forgive them and hope that they will find faith in Jesus.

Although they have succeeded in keeping the public convinced that ‘something came from nothing’, it will get more difficult to hide the truth as even more evidence reveals the amazing engineering design in creation. I’m afraid that the science mafia will resort to new tactics of deception rather than admit that they are wrong. For now, I will pray for them.
