No matter what happens, don’t take the mark of the Beast

That title may sound far-fetched, but I have reasons for it, namely that things are going crazy in the world. You may not have been impacted yet, but you will be. People seemed shocked yesterday when schools closed in Texas. EVERY school is going to close. ALL events will be cancelled. SHIT IS HITTING THE FAN. The impact on the economy will be huge.

We don’t really know why our government is taking this opportunity to use its power to shut down businesses and schools and limit our freedom to come and go and congregate. They have given plausible explanations about preventing a sudden massive outbreak that overwhelms hospitals and shuts down the system, which may be true, but many of us wonder why it’s different from the last SARS and other other virus and flu outbreaks. Many think it’s political. But here’s the thing: It doesn’t matter, they are doing it and we HAVE NO CONTROL OVER IT. I hope and pray that they have good intentions.

I hope you have some food in the house and some money in the bank, you’re going to need it.

Now is also a good time to call up your mom and dad and anyone that you need to reconcile with. Life is uncertain. Don’t die with regrets or go to a funeral of someone you never said you were sorry to, or I forgive you. Just as Jesus forgave us, we are to forgive.

Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.

23“Therefore the kingdom of heaven may be compared to a king who wished to settle accounts with his servants.g 24When he began to settle, one was brought to him who owed him ten thousand talents.h 25And since he could not pay, his master ordered him to be sold, with his wife and children and all that he had, and payment to be made. 26So the servanti fell on his knees, imploring him, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you everything.’ 27And out of pity for him, the master of that servant released him and forgave him the debt. 28But when that same servant went out, he found one of his fellow servants who owed him a hundred denarii,j and seizing him, he began to choke him, saying, ‘Pay what you owe.’ 29So his fellow servant fell down and pleaded with him, ‘Have patience with me, and I will pay you.’ 30He refused and went and put him in prison until he should pay the debt. 31When his fellow servants saw what had taken place, they were greatly distressed, and they went and reported to their master all that had taken place. 32Then his master summoned him and said to him, ‘You wicked servant! I forgave you all that debt because you pleaded with me. 33And should not you have had mercy on your fellow servant, as I had mercy on you?’ 34And in anger his master delivered him to the jailers,k until he should pay all his debt. 35So also my heavenly Father will do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother from your heart.” Matthew 18

It’s also a good time to check your security supplies, just in case things get even worse. For those of you in big cities, I’d say it might be a good time to leave and visit your family in small towns and the country.

You can call me a fear-mongerer if you want. I am looking at what happened in other countries. I am watching government officials make announcements. Some of them look pretty rattled. Even President Trump was off his game in his address, looking much less cocky than usual. But I do appreciate knowing that HE HAS HAD PEOPLE WORKING SINCE THE BEGINNING on this. Ignore the political he said-she said posts on Facebook.

The only thing that we know for sure is that things are changing very quickly. People who think they have it all figured out, don’t. So be alert and keep an eye on the news. Youtube has LIVE videos on Fox and other channels. Don’t live in fear or freak out, but be smart and informed.

Pray and seek the Lord while He may be found. And remember what I said, don’t take the mark of the beast if it comes to that. What is that? It’s a number that will be required to buy and sell. Those who have the mark will not enter the Kingdom of heaven. It’s better to die without the mark! This may not be the time for the mark, but it will come one day. If you have never studied Revelation, now is the time. You can listen to an easy to understand study here. Love Worth Finding with Adrian Rogers

Then I saw another angel flying directly overhead, with an eternal gospel to proclaim to those who dwell on earth, to every nation and tribe and language and people. 7And he said with a loud voice, “Fear God and give him glory, because the hour of his judgment has come, and worship him who made heaven and earth, the sea and the springs of water.”

8Another angel, a second, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who made all nations drink the wine of the passiona of her sexual immorality.”

9And another angel, a third, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and its image and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10he also will drink the wine of God’s wrath, poured full strength into the cup of his anger, and he will be tormented with fire and sulfur in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever, and they have no rest, day or night, these worshipers of the beast and its image, and whoever receives the mark of its name.”

12Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, those who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus.b

13And I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Write this: Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on.” “Blessed indeed,” says the Spirit, “that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow them!” Revelation 14

As for me, I’m hoping to still go run some trails this weekend. I need a break from the internet at least for a few hours! Take care and love your neighbor as yourself. God bless you and God bless America.

  1. Amen. People need to calm down. During H1N1 Obama and Biden waited 6 months before they did anything to protect the country and almost 12,000 people died, including over 1100 kids. There was no panic like this at that time. We only have about 1,700 cases and 40 deaths right now! Trump shut down the borders very early, 40 days before it was declared a pandemic, and his early and decisive actions saved many lives. The liberal media fear mongering is shameful. Trump will most likely declare a national emergency this afternoon at 3 P.M. ET. Trump and his administration have done an excellent job protecting the country and doing everything they can to fight the virus. Far better than Obama and Biden did! God is in control and He always will be. God bless!

I'd love to hear your thoughts!
